The Falcon Premium Lace-On is built from P200 polyurethane-coated polyester with stainless steel grommets, sewn and finished by hand in our UK workshop.
Every component is specified for continuous exposure: UV stable, water resistant to EN343 Class 3, and weighted for aerodynamic response even in light wind.

What is the difference between Lace-On and Snap-On?
Both use the same P200 fabric and identical dimensions. The difference is attachment: Snap-On clips to a Falcon swivel arm via a galvanised karabina harness for fast installation and replacement. Lace-On is secured by cable ties or lacing cord through stainless steel grommets on fixed hoops, cages or frame mounts.
Lace-On is typically specified where mounts are non-standard, where tamper resistance matters, or where existing fixed cages are already installed.
Which size meets CAA CAP 168 at a licensed aerodrome?
CAA CAP 168 specifies a minimum 3.6 metre (12 ft) windsock at licensed aerodromes. The Falcon 12 ft Premium Lace-On meets this requirement.
The 4 ft and 7 ft sizes are suitable for helipads, industrial sites, smaller private airfields and DSEAR-regulated installations where a smaller indicator is appropriate.
How many grommets does the Lace-On have?
Eight stainless steel grommets around the mouth hoop, evenly spaced. The grommet pattern fits most UK and EU manufactured cage mounts up to 1 m diameter.
If you're replacing a non-Falcon lace-on windsock and want us to verify compatibility, send us a photograph of the mounting and we'll confirm before you order.
Is VAT included in the displayed price?
No. Prices on product pages are shown excluding VAT. UK orders are charged VAT at 20% at checkout. For export orders, VAT is not charged where appropriate documentation is provided.
What is your UK delivery lead time?
Stock sizes (4 ft, 7 ft, 12 ft Premium Lace-On) despatch next working day from order before 2pm. Standard UK delivery is 1 to 2 working days. Free UK and international delivery.
Bespoke specifications and custom colours typically take 2 to 3 weeks in the workshop.
Do you provide letters of conformity for tender submissions?
Yes. We produce letters of conformity on Falcon letterhead against any referenced specification, including CAA CAP 168, ICAO Annex 14, FAA AC 150/5345-27F and site-specific DSEAR or COMAH requirements.
Tell us your tender reference and the standards cited, and we will produce the letter within 24 hours at no charge.
Can you supply a bespoke size, colour or printed windsock?
Yes. Non-standard sizes, custom colours and printed logos or call signs are all produced in our UK workshop. Minimum order is one unit. Lead time is typically 2 to 3 weeks from artwork approval.

What warranty applies?
Falcon Premium Lace-On windsocks carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers stitching failure, grommet failure and material defect under normal use.
The warranty does not cover damage from extreme weather events, impact, or use outside the product's specified conditions.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We regularly ship to the European Union, Middle East, North America and Commonwealth countries. Delivery is free worldwide.
Customs documentation including harmonised codes, certificates of origin, and letters of conformity is produced by our despatch team.
Where are Falcon windsocks manufactured?
All Falcon windsocks are cut, stitched and finished by hand in our workshop in the United Kingdom. Fabric is P200 polyurethane-coated polyester from UK and European mills. Hardware is UK and EU sourced.
We do not outsource finishing or assembly. Every windsock is inspected before despatch.
